Added values  

Our students are encouraged to  do their last year abroad ( in Canada , Finland , Spain , Swede , ...)

They  have  the possibility of  preparing   a Master during their final year ( for instance , the « Technologie des Procédés/Process Technologies  - Procédés de Transformation de la Matière et de l' Energie » in association with the Compiègne U.T.C. )

Material resources : Safety TP  and  environmental  process  laboratories as well as rooms dedicated to accident simulation .

Courses

  3^rd year (5^th and 6^th semesters )

Some common courses take place in association with the CFI Department  (Automatics , Chemical Process Engineering , Analytics , ..) . Other  specific MRIE Department courses are linked to  materials , safety , environmental  process , transport , green chemistry , hygiene and safety , ...).

   4^th year (7^th and 8^th semesters )

Courses on risk assessment  , fire and explosion , ergonomics , simulation , sociology , management of quality , safety and environment . Lectures are given by outside contributors .

Study projects from April to June

    5^th year (9^th and 10^th semesters )

 Courses on cost analysis , opening to the industrial world , regulatory and legal issues ....

Industrial Placement

 MRIE 3 or MRIE 4 :  2-month  placement as a technician ( in July and August )

 MRIE 5 :  Final year placement – 21 weeks at least , from February to June ( September  at the latest ).

Career openings

Opportunities abound in such branches as engineering , production (managers in charge of  petrochemical , chemical or pharmaceutical industrial sites ) , safety (engineers responsible for safety in industrial sites ) , environment ( waste processing plant managers or engineers in charge of water supply ), or work as consultants in numerous sectors (industry , transport  , civil service , local government , insurance groups   , ....)
