Label diplôme national de master contrôlé par l'État

After completing studies leading to a 3-year undergraduate degree, the 2-year Design Engineering Master's program trains graduates to work at all levels of the industrial process: general or detailed design, choice of materials, implementation, production, processes and maintenance. They are equally proficient in modeling, optimization and product development, or in the development of new materials...

Why choose the master's degree in design engineering?

On the Madrillet campus

This program is offered on INSA Rouen Normandie's engineering campus in Rouen. It is well served by public transport and has student residences.

Active teaching

Numerous projects enable students to deepen their theoretical knowledge, acquire know-how and interpersonal skills, and develop their own innovative ideas. In addition to this Master's degree, the Mechanical Engineering Department offers engineering training, as well as more than 60 apprenticeships a year in its Industrial Performance and Innovation stream.

Support for innovation and entrepreneurship

INSA Rouen Normandie is committed to training people who are sensitive to innovation and entrepreneurship. The institute is involved in various promotional programs such as PÉPITE, which supports young entrepreneurs.

A professionalizing model

Students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the professional world through long-term internships.

A link with research

Collaboration with several scientific research laboratories in the fields of structures and materials: GPM (materials physics), CIMAP (physics and composite materials), LMN (experimental and numerical mechanics), LOMC (waves and complex media, composites), ISPA (plastics processing), CESI (industrial engineering).

Innovative teaching platforms

The Master's program is associated with INSA Rouen Normandie's Mechanics Department, which boasts state-of-the-art teaching and technical facilities: a shared machining center, equipped with a 5-axis machine, and a center for innovation and expertise in mechanics, materials and energy, set up in partnership with additive manufacturing leader Volum-e.

A personalized curriculum

In the 2nd year, students can choose to focus on research or industry, in collaboration with the research laboratories associated with the Master's program.
